Pineapple

Binomial name: Ananas sativus

It is named pineapple, like the fruit of the conifers due to its similar form.

Origin: it is found in South America, particularly, in the tropical areas of Brazil.

Medicinal values: it is used to treat intestinal disorders. Its richness in vitamins C, B1 and B2, phosphorus, calcium, iron and fiber provides diuretic properties; as well as anti-inflammatory properties. If taken in its natural state and after the meal, it helps in dissolving lipids.
