Binomial name: Cocos nucifera L.

The trunk of the coconut palm has a thick base and goes tightening to the top. It can measure from 1,5 to 4 m.

Origin: it’s native to the tropical and subtropical climate islands of the Pacific Ocean, and has diversified in Central America, the Caribbean and tropical Africa.
